This is a Browser-based tool to search and combine duplicates in
ACT! It works in both a desktop and Web server mode, so all recent versions of Act are supported.
Features:
Search for Duplicates using any combination of fields
Search using Soundex comparisons (Soundex is a technology that matches words based on their sound, not spelling)
User can preview the duplicates and decide which contact is the dominant record
User can go field-by-field and select which field to use
Field rules to control how each field in combined. Support for List fields and Memo-type Fields
SQL-like Field Expression can be used to set a field to a new value when the merge process happens - for example, remove leading zero,
or trim to a specific length.
The combine process will combine groups as well as sub-records like notes and history.
The program creates a log record for audit purposes.
